This pattern is almost two years in the making. It was started when I was in Turks and Caicos for the first time, on a mindblowing trip with one of the most important people in my life. We live in totally different states right now, and the horseshoe cable was meant to symbolize us coming together.
The pattern has been tested by wonderful knitters and is easy to read and understand - a basic knowledge of cabling (or willingness to google/youtube it) is necessary. It works up fast, and uses relatively little yarn. A 20” headband takes just 90-100 yds.
It is ideal for worsted weight / Medium 4 weight yarns. Required needle size (US 6) and approximate yardage (~100 yds) are specified in the patterns. The headband is about 4.5” wide (more than enough to cover your ears!), and can be made any length to fit any head from kids through adults! Due to the width, it is recommended for ages 5+!
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding the pattern or if you need help with it!
