Boston is one of those fashionable and understated cities, with interspersed textures that just draw you in. This cozy was designed as a homage to the city that I’ve spent the last two years in. The gentle texture created by the stitch combination reminds me of the cutting edge fashions I see downtown, the mix of old and new that I see in the suburbs, and the classical timelessness of the city itself.
The pattern has been tested and is easy to read and understand. It is written so that the seam is completely hidden. The pattern is in US terminology, and details everything needed for cozy making. The best part: these adorable little cozies work up really quickly!
It is ideal for any worsted weight / Medium (4) weight yarns (Caron and Red Heart were used for the items in the images above). The finished coffee cozy is standard size and should fit most mugs. The pattern can easily be adjusted to fit larger or smaller mugs though, at the maker’s discretion.
