I loved the texture of the Piper Beanie so much that I turned it into a headband too!
This headband is reversible! It comes with both a recommended cast on (for a 3” wide headband) and instructions for varying the width. It is simple enough for the most beginners, even though it has a complex, sophisticated look! The pattern has been tested by wonderful knitters, and is easy to read and understand. It works up fast, and uses relatively little yarn.
It is ideal for any bulky / 5-weight yarn, although any yarn weight can be used with the custom width instructions! Required needle size (US 8) and approximate yardage (~35 yds for a 20” headband) are specified in the patterns. The headband is wide enough to cover your ears, and can be made any length to fit any head from babies through adults!.
