I love day trips to new destinations. Last fall, we took a drive up the New England coast and happened upon Ogunquit - a quaint little tourist/fishing town that just stole my heart. I took so many photos of it that day… As I was reflecting on them, I noticed the ropes hanging from the end of a dock - and that photo became the inspiration for this headband!
The pattern has been tested by wonderful knitters and is easy to read and understand - a basic knowledge of cabling (or willingness to google/youtube it) is necessary. It works up fast, and uses relatively little yarn. A 20” adult-sized headband takes just 90-100 yds.
It is ideal for worsted weight / Medium 4 weight yarns. Required needle size (US 6) is specified in the pattern. The headband is about 3” wide (enough to cover your ears!), and can be made any length to fit any head from babies through adults! Because it is worked flat and can be made any length, it can also be turned into a super cute mug cozy!
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions regarding the pattern or if you need help with it!
