The eastern most point of North America is a gorgeous rocky point that has these beautiful and understated jagged rocks that jut out into the Atlantic Ocean. As the waves break against the rocks, they filter down and drain back out to the ocean in between the interlocking faces of the rocks. These rocks inspired the design of this shawl. It is created as a fabric with cables on either edge to anchor the design as you wear it.
The pattern has been tested by a wonderful group of knitters, who made seriously gorgeous cowls and scarves! It is an intermediate level knit due to the cabling involved in it. Once you get into your rhythm though, its a total #netflixandknit-type of design.
This was designed as a worsted weight scarf, but it can easily be made in any weight of yarn and needle combination. For a tighter fabric, use smaller needles; for a looser fabric, use larger needles.
The Fogo Beanie and Belle Isle Headband round out this set - although there is a triangle shawl in the works ;)
